Welcome to the New Home of the Courageous Cooking School!

Since 2017, the Courageous Cooking School has welcomed over 600 people to learn to cook without recipes. We invite you to become one of our next culinarians to crack the code of cooking seasonally, more deliciously, and saving time while you’re at it.

Each Courageous Cooking experience in the South of France gives you an opportunity to dive into the world of French Culinary techniques, discover French (mostly natural) wines that we procure from around the country, and master the art of cooking without recipes.

Our proprietary Courageous Cooking Method is a truly, one-of-a-kind masterclass in recipe-Free cooking, developing dishes from scratch, using only the highest quality products including single-origin spices, organic produce, and locally crafted everything. The school is an in-depth, hands-on culinary education that provides one-on-one attention and an immersive opportunity in slow travel. We cook from the bounty of local produce from Provence—including produce and herbs and eggs from our own organic farm.

The Perfumed Hills of Grasse: 2026

  • In 2026, we’re moving to a new home for the Courageous Cooking School, the perfumed hills of Grasse. With a whole new curriculum and a teacher training program. YES! You can bring Courageous Cooking to your local community.

    We’ve taken on a lodging partner, and found THREE kitchens to cook in. You’ll cook farm to table in our farmhouse in Grasse, have lodging less than a five minute walk from the farm (or we can shuttle you there if you prefer!), have access to some of the most beautiful lodging we’ve ever found. And cook in our restaurant space, Detour, among others.

    Group size up to 14 guests.

  • Price starts at $8,000 a week per person, all-inclusive for shared lodging. And $10,000 a week for a private room.

Teacher & Leadership Training: 2026

  • In 2026, we'll be training our first cohort of instructors to go out into their local communities to teach Courageous Cooking. After the experience you'll have a permanent license to the method and our IP so you can teach weekend workshops and one-off Courageous Cooking Classes in your community.

    We'll be taking 14 people for our intake class. Only one person per major metropolitan area/region.
